Privacy Policy

1. Information stored on your device

The app stores the following on your device: photos of sheet music you import, scanned notes, song titles, favorites, your practice time, practice dates and times, resume position, number of practice runs for each measure, and your control settings. The nickname and answers you enter during onboarding are also stored on your device.

This information is used to scan and display sheet music, play back your practice, let you resume where you left off, show your practice history, and keep your control settings.

2. Photos, camera, and microphone

Photos you choose or take are processed on your device. The camera is used when you take photos of sheet music. The microphone is used, for example, when you record a song with Add audio (beta), and the audio is processed on your device. You can change each permission in iOS Settings.

3. Purchase information

To process and restore purchases, manage subscriptions, and analyze sales, Apple and RevenueCat process your purchase history, product and subscription status, and an anonymous app user ID. Piadrop does not link this ID to your name or email address.

Photos, sheet music, onboarding answers, and practice history are not sent to RevenueCat. We do not track you for advertising. Device backups and diagnostic information collected by Apple are subject to your OS settings and Apple's policies.

4. Analytics on how the app is used

To improve onboarding and the purchase screens, we use Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics). It collects information such as which onboarding, purchase, and discount screens were shown; actions such as Next, Back, and Close; the result of the notification permission request; the plan you selected; the results of purchases, cancellations, and restores; product IDs and prices; and app launches and usage time.

We also use the answers you select during onboarding about how you heard about the app, your age range, and your gender to analyze overall user trends and improve the app. Answering is optional, and you can choose “Prefer not to say” for each question. What is sent is the category of the preset option you chose, or information indicating that you did not answer. We do not collect your date of birth, exact age, or any free-text input.

For sheet music created from photos, we aggregate the scan accuracy you optionally report (0–100%), or the fact that you did not answer, to improve the scanning feature. No photos, sheet music, song titles, or note data are attached to this answer.

Google processes an anonymous app instance ID; device, OS, and app information; and approximate region information estimated from your IP address. The app does not get your current location through Location Services. Piadrop does not send your name, email address, onboarding answers other than the three items above, photos, sheet music, song titles, audio, or individual practice history to this analytics service. Collection of the advertising identifier and ad personalization are turned off, and this data is not used for ad tracking.

5. Contacting us

If you contact us by email or other means, we use the email address, message, and any attachments you send to respond to you. The support information you can share from the app is your app and OS versions. Sheet music and practice history are not attached automatically.

The email or sharing service you use to send your message is also subject to that service's own terms.

6. Retention and deletion

Information on your device is kept for as long as it is needed for the features you use. Deleting an imported song deletes its sheet music data and the original images in the app, but practice history and settings may remain. To delete all data from your device, delete the app. Please manage any data in your OS backups through the OS.

Purchase information is subject to Apple's and RevenueCat's subscription management and record keeping, and deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Analytics data held by Google is subject to that service's retention settings and policies. 7. Support site

This site is delivered through Cloudflare. To deliver the site and keep it secure, Cloudflare may process connection information such as your IP address and browser information. This site has no ads and no site analytics tools of our own.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how information is handled, we will announce the revised content and its date in the app or on this site.
